Intel Core Ultra 9 4995HX flagship Nova Lake mobile SKU reportedly features 28 cores
The upcoming Intel Nova Lake mobile lineup is beginning to take shape. According to reports from VideoCardz, based on information shared by leaker Jaykihn, we have our first glimpse into the Core Ultra 4000 series.
Two distinct paths: High performance vs. Integrated graphics
The leaked details suggest that Intel is targeting two different laptop segments with its mobile roadmap. The strategy appears to involve high-core-count chips for enthusiasts and graphics-focused chips for thin-and-light devices.
The flagship mobile SKU, the Core Ultra 9 4995HX, is expected to feature 28 cores and 28 threads. This configuration reportedly consists of 8 Coyote Cove performance cores, 16 Arctic Wolf efficiency cores, and 4 low-power efficiency cores. This represents a significant jump from the 24 cores found in the current Core Ultra 9 285HX. For this high-end model, the integrated graphics are expected to be minimal, featuring only 2 Xe3 cores, as these systems typically rely on discrete GPUs.
In contrast, the Core Ultra 9 4970H is aimed at a different market. It is rumored to have 16 cores (4 performance, 8 efficiency, and 4 low-power efficiency) paired with a much more capable integrated GPU featuring 12 Xe3P cores. This would mark a notable architectural upgrade over the graphics found in the Panther Lake series.
Availability and unknowns
While the core counts provide a clear picture of the intended hierarchy, several key specifications remain unconfirmed. Exact clock speeds, power limits (TDP), and memory support for these Nova Lake processors have not yet been disclosed. The mobile lineup is expected to arrive in 2027, but for now, these details remain unconfirmed leaks from Jaykihn.
