IKEA and Xbox Launch YXSTABY Gaming Furniture Line

IKEA and Xbox have officially launched their co-created gaming furniture collection, YXSTABY. The lineup debuted on October 1, following its initial reveal at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany.

The collection is the result of a partnership between IKEA's 80 years of home expertise and Xbox's 25 years of gaming insight. To ensure the products fit into real-world settings, design teams conducted home visits to study how gaming integrates into daily life.

The design language draws heavily from the iconic Xbox controller. The collection features a lounge chair, a monitor stand, a TV stand on casters, a side table, a laptop support, a D-pad inspired cushion, a stainless steel tray, and a mirrored display box for collectibles. The most experimental piece is the thumbstick stool, developed using original 3D CAD files from an Xbox device designer. Its rounded base tilts with body movement, and its surface texture mimics the grip of a controller's analog stick.

Practicality remains a core focus for the rest of the lineup. The TV stand—IKEA's first model on wheels—is designed to move consoles, controllers, and cables together. The side table includes dedicated storage and charging space for controllers, while the lounge chair features hidden pockets for accessories. Many items also include subtle Easter eggs and symbols referencing Xbox game characters.

Sales began on October 1 in the UK and Canada. In the United States, the collection is available in-store as of October 1, with online availability scheduled for November 30. Release dates and pricing for South Korea have not yet been confirmed.
