HP OmniBook 3 drops to $499 with Snapdragon X and OLED
HP has officially launched the budget-friendly **OmniBook 3** featuring a Snapdragon X processor and a 14-inch OLED display for $499.99 at Best Buy, marking a significant price drop from its original MSRP of $599.99.
The laptop is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite X1-26-100, an ARM-based chip with eight Oryon CPU cores clocked up to 3.0 GHz, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD. The system includes an Adreno X1-45 GPU and a Hexagon NPU rated for up to 45 TOPS.

Visually, the device stands out with a 1920×1200 OLED panel covering 100% of DCI-P3 color space. While the screen is rated at 300 nits brightness—lower than Apple’s MacBook Neo—it offers faster response times and vibrant colors typical of OLED technology, positioning it as a cost-effective alternative in the Windows on ARM market.
