Hanwha Life Esports eliminated from Worlds 2026 after loss to BLG
Hanwha Life Esports' journey at the League of Legends World Championship has come to an end following a 0-2 defeat against BLG.
Hanwha Life Esports has been eliminated from the League of Legends World Championship. The team fell 0-2 to LPL seed BLG in the fifth round of the Swiss Stage, failing to secure a spot in the quarterfinals.
The match took place at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas. While Hanwha Life Esports previously secured victories against TES and G2 Esports, they were unable to overcome BLG in this decisive encounter.
The first game saw a competitive struggle. After several skirmishes around objectives and the bot lane, Hanwha Life Esports managed to take the top tower on the 38th minute. However, a critical fight for objectives at the 41st minute allowed Knight to secure four kills, leading to a swift base siege and the loss of the map.
In the second game, Hanwha Life Esports struggled from the start. Following early kills on the top and bot lanes and a failed dive attempt at the 16th minute, the gold gap widened to 4,000. Losing control of major objectives and the Baron buff allowed BLG to push through and end the game at the 32-minute mark.
