A massive leak of approximately 192GB of files, allegedly containing the source code for Grand Theft Auto V, suggests that Rockstar Games developed and subsequently scrapped plans for a Liberty City DLC. The data reportedly includes very early assets related to GTA 6 as well.

Data hunters have begun combing through the leaked files, unearthing cut dialogue, unused assets, scrapped missions, and a rough version of the GTA 6 map. Most notably, the leak appears to contain ambitious plans for a GTA 5 expansion set in Liberty City. YouTuber TJGM shared an outline of the supposed shoreline for the Liberty City map, which reportedly offers a much larger playable area than the version of New York City seen in GTA 4.

The leaked information is not merely a collection of screenshots; it includes verifiable source code and data viewed through development tools like CodeWalker. While some speculation suggests that the Liberty City project might have been sidelined to serve as an expansion for GTA 6, there is currently no confirmed evidence to support this theory.
