Greed & Darkness Demo Now Available on Steam
A demo for Greed & Darkness, a first-person 3D dungeon crawler featuring hand-drawn animation, is now available on Steam. The announcement followed the Coffee Stain Big Break Showcase.
The gameplay follows a classic grid-based movement system where players navigate through rooms in four directions. A core mechanic involves the interplay between light and shadow: carrying a torch allows players to uncover hidden rooms and detect lurking dangers, but it also makes them visible to enemies. Conversely, extinguishing the light allows for stealthy movement through the darkness.

Combat is handled in real-time, requiring players to time sword swings to perform parries against enemy attacks, creating openings for counterattacks. The game's visual identity is heavily defined by its hand-drawn animation style, which provides a distinct aesthetic even in still images.

The demo is currently available on Steam and includes Japanese language support.
