Gwangju Information and Culture Industry Promotion Center (GICON) in partnership with Gwangju Metropolitan City have officially opened registration for the 2026 GES National Amateur E-Sports Tournament. This annual event aims to provide a platform for growth and challenge for promising amateur players across the nation.

The tournament will feature two disciplines: Valorant (5v5 team format) and Brawl Stars (3v3 team format). The total prize pool stands at 7 million won, distributed as follows: 2.5 million for first place in Valorant, 1.5 million for second, and 500k for third; for Brawl Stars, the payouts are 1.5 million, 700k, and 300k won respectively.

Registration is open via the GGGL platform. The online qualifiers begin on September 5, followed by the offline finals and championship match at the Gwangju E-Sports Arena on September 12. The venue will host various side events to enrich the experience for both players and spectators.

A representative from GICON expressed confidence in the upcoming competition: "We expect intense passion and high-level matches from amateur gamers nationwide. Beyond the thrill of the games, we have prepared diverse events to ensure everyone creates unforgettable memories in Gwangju."
