Genji Ends Losing Streak, Hanwha Life Esports Suffers Third Straight Loss
During Round 3 of the LCK 2026 Season, Genji e-Sports secured a 2-1 victory over Hanwha Life Esports. This win allowed Genji to break their three-game losing streak in the Legends group, while Hanwha Life suffered their first three-game losing streak in the regular season in more than three years.
The match took place on August 5 at the LCK Arena in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Genji won the second and third games, securing a 2-1 victory. Following this result, the balance of power in the Legends group shifted: Genji e-Sports now has 15 wins and 6 losses (+16 points), while Hanwha Life Esports, despite having the same win-loss record (15–6), dropped to third place with a +18 point differential.
In Game 1, Genji gained an advantage thanks to strong top lane performance. By the 31-minute mark, they controlled the situation, and by the 34th minute, they secured control over the Infernal Dragon after eliminating three enemy players. This allowed them to strike decisively at Hanwha Life's base and destroy their Nexus.
In Game 2, Genji fell behind, but in Game 3 they managed to turn the tide around. The team secured control over the Tempest Dragon and continued to pressure Hanwha Life's base. By the 35-minute mark, Genji closed out the match by destroying Hanwha Life's Nexus.
