Gen.G Esports Are Back-to-Back LCK Season Champions
Gen.G Esports have successfully defended their LCK title, defeating Hanwha Life Esports 3:1 in the LCK 2026 Season grand final. After dropping the opening map, the team responded with three consecutive victories to complete a reverse sweep and claim back-to-back championships.
The series began with a highly competitive first map, which Hanwha Life Esports took 13:13 after 38 minutes and 40 seconds. Gen.G Esports quickly regained control, dominating the second map 23:5 in 30 minutes and 59 seconds. They continued their momentum with a 16:5 win on the third map and closed out the series with a 14:6 victory on the fourth map.
Ruler was named the Finals MVP for his standout performance throughout the series. By winning the LCK 2026 Season, Gen.G Esports secured their spot at Worlds 2026. The tournament also confirmed slots for T1 and Dplus KIA, who finished in the top four.
