GeForce RTX 5090 prices surpass the €6,000 mark
The cost of Blackwell-based graphics cards continues to climb, with the cheapest GeForce RTX 5090 models now listed at €6,149 in the German market.
The price trajectory for Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards continues to move in only one direction: up. According to data from the price comparison service Geizhals, the entry price for available models in the German market has officially crossed the €6,000 threshold, with the cheapest options now starting at €6,149.
Drivers behind the price surge
The pricing for the GeForce RTX 5090 has seen dramatic shifts over the past months. While base models were available for approximately €3,500 in April 2026, prices had already climbed to €5,249 by mid-September. The current market reality is now significantly higher than the official "Nvidia" MSRP of €2,099.
Several factors are contributing to this upward trend:
Intense demand for AI applications;
Rising costs of components, specifically GDDR7 memory and GPU kits;
Limited market availability;
Reported increases in procurement costs from Nvidia board partners, which typically impact retail prices with a slight delay.
Market availability and trends
Currently, the €5,999 price point has been breached by multiple models from various manufacturers, including ASUS (TUF Gaming OC), GIGABYTE (AORUS Master, Stealth ICE, and Xtreme Waterforce series), Zotac Gaming (AMP Extreme and SOLID editions), as well as offerings from MSI, Gainward, and Palit. Due to extreme scarcity, some specific models are reportedly listed for over €10,000.
With supply volumes continuing to dwindle and demand remaining high, a short-term price correction does not appear likely. Instead, the decreasing number of available units may serve as a catalyst for further price increases in the flagship segment.
