GamerLegion sweeps ENVY to reach RLG Tesla Cup semifinals
GamerLegion secured a 2-0 victory over ENVY to advance to the RLG Tesla Cup semifinals. Despite a previous win against Luminosity, the French squad failed to secure back-to-back victories and is officially eliminated from the tournament.
The opening map, Dust2, was a one-sided affair for the French side. GamerLegion dominated with a 13-2 scoreline, driven by standout performances from Fredrik "REZ" Sterner and Timur "FL4MUS" Marev.
The series moved to Nuke, where ENVY put up a much closer fight. While Bryan "Maka" Canda delivered a strong performance as the team's AWPer and IGL, GamerLegion managed to pull away following a decisive seven-round T-side surge. The 13-7 victory closed out the series for the winners.
This loss leaves ENVY with a 2-5 record since being signed from 3DMAX, and the team has also been ruled out of contention for the PGL Major Singapore. GamerLegion now moves on to face FaZe in the semifinals.
