Rumor: FUT Close to Signing SunPayus
FUT is reportedly on the verge of signing SunPayus. The Spanish AWPer, who has been benched by G2 for the past three months, is expected to replace cmtry following the player's inconsistent performance throughout 2026.
Sources suggest the deal is nearing completion, with SunPayus potentially making his debut for FUT at PGL Masters Bucharest on October 24. The Turkish organization reportedly considered several alternatives, including sl3nd and flayy, before deciding on the veteran sniper.
cmtry, a product of the NAVI academy system, earned an MVP at PGL Bucharest in April, but his form has struggled to match that peak during the rest of 2026. The 27-year-old SunPayus is expected to provide tactical depth to a roster primarily composed of NAVI Junior graduates. Beyond his AWP skills, his experience in mid-round decision-making is expected to complement the existing structure led by Krabeni and xfl0ud.
This move would mark the second external signing for FUT since entering Counter-Strike, following the arrival of xfl0ud from HEROIC in July.
