FNATIC begins League of Legends rebuild

FNATIC has announced the first steps of a major restructuring within its League of Legends division. The organization described the 2026 season as the worst in the history of its LoL team.

The first phase of this overhaul involves the recruitment of a new General Manager. Based in Berlin, the new lead will oversee the team's structure, development, and internal culture, while serving as a vital link between the League of Legends division and the broader FNATIC organization.

The club emphasized that this appointment is a foundational step in a wider offseason review. While specific roster changes have not yet been announced, the organization admitted that substantial adjustments are required following a disappointing 2026 campaign. Further updates are expected as the recruitment process and internal evaluations progress.

Beyond competitive changes, FNATIC aims to improve transparency and engagement with its supporters. The organization plans to provide fans with more insight into decision-making processes, increased opportunities for feedback, and greater access to behind-the-scenes content. Additionally, the club intends to expand the work of the Fnatic Fan Association, established earlier this year.

To discuss these offseason plans, management will host an X Space session. Co-founder and Chief Gaming Officer Sam Mathews and VP of Esports Franchises Xavient will reflect on the 2026 season and answer questions directly from the community.
