FaZe exit IEM Beijing winless
FaZe exit IEM Beijing in 13-16th place. After a reverse sweep loss to FURIA in their opener, the team failed to complete their own comeback against Falcons, resulting in an early exit from the tournament.
The series against Falcons proved to be a setback for FaZe. Following a poor showing on Ancient, where they trailed 3-13 after the first half, FaZe fought back on Anubis. Despite a 7-5 lead in the first half and a crucial moment where Jason "JBOEN" Nielsen helped secure a third map, the comeback fell short.
On the decider map, Mirage, FaZe initially took control with a pistol round win. However, Nikola "NiKo" Kovač led Falcons on a seven-round run, securing a 13-7 victory and ending FaZe's tournament run.
Maksim "kyousuke" Lukin stood out for FaZe with a dominant performance on Ancient, recording 22 kills and a 2.08 rating. In contrast, Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken and David "frozen" Čerňanský struggled significantly, both finishing the map with a 0.53 rating.
