FaZe advance to EWC playoffs with win over Legacy

The encounter opened on FaZe's preferred map pick. On Cache, the European squad secured a 9-3 lead thanks to an ace from Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski. While Legacy failed to capitalize on the first pistol round, their second resulted in two additional wins. However, at 10-6, FaZe sniper Jason "JBOEN" Boe Nielsen scored a 4K that would end Legacy's comeback there at six rounds while propelling his own team to victory.

Yet another pistol win for Legacy guaranteed them the lead on Mirage, but FaZe would tie the game at 5-5, despite the newly-signed Ryan "Neityu" Aubry going 0-7 to this point. With a 7-5 lead at the half, FaZe still failed to win a pistol round. A 1v1 clutch from a red-hot Twistzz nonetheless put them up 8-7 before an AWP duel between JBOEN and Santino "try" Rigal saw the Argentinian tie the game.

The tides suddenly turned at this point, with little explanation for the shift, other than that FaZe must have locked in. A five-round streak would then give them the series victory and a spot in EWC's Top 16.

IGL Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken had a standout performance in the second map, finishing it with 24 frags and a 2.28 rating. Jason "JBOEN" Boe Nielsen also contributed significantly on both maps, while Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski ensured stability on the first map.

The victory over Legacy allowed FaZe to secure their place in the upper bracket of the tournament. The playoffs will commence next week, where they will face new challenges to reach the Top 8.
