Edge of Memories to Launch on PC and PS5 on December 3

H2 Interactive has officially announced that the Korean edition of the fantasy JRPG Edge of Memories will launch on PC and PS5 on December 3. Physical Deluxe Edition pre-orders for the PS5 version are scheduled to begin on October 23.

Developed by Midgar Studio, Edge of Memories is set on the continent of Avaris, a land plagued by a corrupting force known as Corrosion. Players take on the role of a wanderer with the unique ability to control the plague, fighting against entities that transform plants, animals, and humans into grotesque abominations.

The game features real-time combat, allowing players to execute combos by blending standard attacks with various skills. Throughout the journey, players will be accompanied by companions, such as a mentor and a shaman prince from a lost tribe, both of whom can be customized or utilized for their specific abilities. Additionally, the protagonist can transform into a Berserker to strike down enemies.

Visually, the game utilizes Unreal Engine 5 to deliver an art style inspired by Japanese animation. Exploration spans diverse environments, from sandy port cities to snow-capped mountains, aided by the agility of a feline companion named Nekaroo. As the narrative progresses, previously visited regions will undergo changes, unlocking new paths and locations.

The soundtrack features contributions from Cédric Menendez, Emi Evans, and Yasunori Mitsuda. Menendez composed a dynamic score that adapts to exploration and combat, Evans provided the vocals, and Mitsuda composed the theme song that marks the conclusion of the journey.
