ECL S52 Cup 2: Overtake Sector and NuTorious Complete Reverse Sweeps

Day 2 of ESL Challenger League Season 52 Cup 2 in Counter-Strike 2 concluded with two major comeback victories. Both Overtake Sector and NuTorious managed to secure reverse sweeps to advance or stay in the tournament.

In the upper bracket, Overtake Sector overcame a tough start against Villainous. After losing Anubis 5-13—a map where Connor "Jolts" Haines delivered a crucial 1v3 in round 15—Overtake Sector fought back. Following a strong performance on Mirage led by Jason "jason" Garcia (1.74 rating), they closed out the series on Dust2. Umar "Umar" Qaiser was instrumental in the final map, securing a five-round streak and leading the lobby in kills on the decider.

In the lower bracket, NuTorious faced elimination against Marca Registrada. Trailing 7-11 on Inferno, NuTorious rallied with six consecutive rounds, bolstered by a 4K defuse from Andrew "Kermi" Cretella. They followed this with a dominant 13-4 win on Mirage and finished Marca Registrada off on Cache with a 13-7 victory. Gavin "Fruitcupx" Norman was the standout performer, particularly on Cache, where he posted a 2.79 rating in the first half alone.
