Closed qualifiers for BLAST Slam VIII revealed across Europe, SEA and China
The closed qualifier brackets for BLAST Slam VIII have been officially revealed, setting the stage for a competitive regional showdown across Europe, Southeast Asia, and China.
Qualifiers are scheduled to take place on August 29–30. The European bracket will feature top-tier squads including Natus Vincere, MOUZ, Team Resilience, and Execration. Europe is set to award two direct spots at the main tournament, with the quarterfinals already underway. Matches such as Natus Vincere's 2-0 victory over Summer Bear and MOUZ's dominant 2-0 win against Yellow Submarine have secured their progression.
In Southeast Asia, the bracket includes Direborn, Team Nemesis, and Execration. The region will provide a single spot to BLAST Slam VIII. Notable results include Direborn's 2-0 sweep of S Satan666 and a hard-fought 2-1 victory for Team Nemesis over T Team 6seven, while matches between Ice Cream Men I and T TPB3, as well as Execration versus Team Kinetix, are currently in progress.
The Chinese closed qualifier also begins with four quarterfinal matches. Teams like Team Resilience, Nexus Gaming, Cloud Rising, and Yakult Brothers will battle for the sole Asian spot available from this region. All three regional qualifiers will collectively determine the final four participants for BLAST Slam VIII.
