CD Projekt releases full system requirements for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered
CD Projekt has released the complete list of PC system requirements for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered. This free upgrade for the base version of the fantasy action-RPG includes not only the standard minimum and recommended specs but also specific configurations for ray-tracing and path tracing.
The Remastered edition is set to launch on Tuesday, September 29. According to CD Projekt, the target FPS listed in the requirements is based on internal QA testing, though players may experience frame rate fluctuations depending on the specific gameplay scene.
The update introduces several technical shifts for PC users:
- An SSD is now a requirement for the game.
- Official support for Windows 10 is ending. While the game will still run on Windows 10, the developers will no longer develop or test on this OS, meaning they cannot guarantee future compatibility or performance.
- Hardware support is limited to components that continue to receive official updates from their manufacturers.
