CarmineCorp sweeps MVK 3-0 to advance to Winners' Final
CarmineCorp defeated MVK eSports 3-0 in the second round of the Play-In Winners' Bracket at the League of Legends World Championship. With this result, they became the first team to secure a spot in the Winners' Final.
The match took place on October 17 at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles. In the first game, CarmineCorp established control through strong performances from Kaliste in the bot lane and Kanna in the top lane. Following a successful mid-game skirmish by Hulky, the team secured the Baron buff and closed the map at the 29-minute mark.
The second game remained competitive until the mid-game, when Carmiste found crucial picks in the bot and mid lanes. This momentum allowed CarmineCorp to dismantle the nexus at 33 minutes, securing their place in the next stage of the bracket.
In the deciding third game, Yehu on Viktor secured a solo kill against Kog'Maw, setting the pace. Although MVK managed to take the Baron and Elder Dragon, CarmineCorp executed a decisive backdoor maneuver. While MVK was focused on the dragon, Yehu pushed into the base to destroy the nexus and complete the sweep.
