IdleOn Introduces Cape Vine for Character Customization
IdleOn has introduced a new mechanic that solves the long-standing conflict between choosing useful stats and aesthetic appearance. With the arrival of the Cape Vine system in World 4, players can now 'deposit' their capes to make their bonuses permanent across the entire account.
Capes no longer provide stat bonuses while equipped. Instead, you can deposit them into the Cape Vine, managed by Catherine. This change allows for total visual freedom: you can wear any cape you find aesthetically pleasing on any character at any time, without sacrificing combat effectiveness.
There is a catch to this convenience: by default, capes stored in the Vine only provide 20% of their full bonuses. To unlock 100% effectiveness, a cape must be placed in a Golden Vine slot. Players start with one Golden Vine slot, and additional ones can be unlocked by using the 'Ask Cathie' button in the top-left of the Cape Vine interface. High-level players can also obtain free Golden Vines.
Content Updates and Bug Fixes
In addition to the new system, developer Lavaflame2 implemented several gameplay adjustments:
The update also highlighted the results of a charity drive. Through plushie sales, Twitch streams, community reactions, and a personal $5,000 donation from Lavaflame2, a total of $15,000 was raised for Canine.org. These funds support the breeding and training of service dogs for people with disabilities.
