BuZz Becomes Only Player to Qualify for Every VALORANT Champions
Yu "BuZz" Byung-chul has become the first player in history to qualify for all six editions of VALORANT Champions. His streak began at the inaugural world championship in 2021 and will continue at VALORANT Champions 2026.
T1 secured their place at the world championship following Nongshim RedForce's victory over Global Esports in the VCT 2026: Pacific Stage 2 playoffs. Later that day, BuZz and his teammates also defeated VARREL 2-0.
BuZz attended VALORANT Champions 2021 with Vision Strikers, represented DRX at the following three editions from 2022 to 2024, and qualified with T1 in 2025 and 2026. His best result at the event remains a third-place finish at VALORANT Champions 2022.
Before the start of the season, Jake "Boaster" Howlett and Kim "MaKo" Myeong-kwan also had an opportunity to extend their attendance streaks. However, their teams failed to qualify, leaving BuZz as the only player to have competed at the previous five editions and secured a place at the sixth.
VALORANT Champions 2026 will take place from September 24 to October 18 in Shanghai, China. Sixteen teams will compete for a $2,250,000 prize pool and the world championship title.
