The playoff bracket for BLAST Slam VIII has been finalized following the conclusion of the Seeding Matches and Last Chance stages. PARIVISION and Team Spirit have secured direct spots in the semifinals, while Team Yandex and Aurora Gaming will begin their playoff journey in the upper bracket quarterfinals.
The paths to the semifinals varied for the top seeds. PARIVISION secured a dominant 2:0 victory over Aurora Gaming, winning maps 33:3 and 37:27. No[o]ne led his team with a 10.1/2.9/17.6 K/D/A. Meanwhile, Team Spirit narrowly defeated Team Yandex in a hard-fought 2:1 series (27:24, 13:36, 41:34), with Larl posting a 7.7/1.8/18.9 K/D/A.
In the Last Chance matches, LGD Gaming and 1w Team both earned their spots in the playoffs with 2:1 victories. LGD Gaming overcame GamerLegion, while 1w Team defeated OG. SumaiL (5.1/1.9/12.1) was the standout performer for LGD Gaming, and bzm (8.1/2.3/11.0) led the way for 1w Team.
Quarterfinal and Semifinal Schedule
The LAN stage of the tournament will take place in Malta from October 8 to 11. The upper bracket schedule is as follows:
October 8 (Quarterfinals): Team Yandex vs LGD Gaming (11:00 CET) and Aurora Gaming vs 1w Team (14:30 CET).
October 8 (Upper Bracket Semifinal): The winner of the first match will face PARIVISION (18:00 CET).
October 9 (Upper Bracket Semifinal): The winner of the second match will face Team Spirit (11:00 CET).
Teams that lose in the quarterfinals will not be eliminated but will move to the lower bracket. The total prize pool for BLAST Slam VIII is $750,000.
