Zul’Aman Returns: Details on the BCCA Update
As part of the BCCA update, players in World of Warcraft will head to the Eastern Kingdoms to face a familiar threat. The global launch for the Zul’Aman raid content is set for October 22.
Set in the eerie Ghostlands, the raid centers on the Amani warlord Zul’jin and his plot to harness the power of animal gods. Raiders will face six bosses: Nalorakk, Akil'zon, Jan'alai, Halazzi, Hex Lord Malacrass, and Zul’jin. No attunement is required to enter the instance, which operates on a 3-day lockout. A group of nine allies is needed to claim the stronghold's treasures.
A standout feature of this return is the race against time to secure a rare mount. Upon breaching the gates, the Amani will begin executing hostages. To earn the Amani War Bear battle mount, players must rescue all hostages before the timer expires. Defeating Zul’jin’s lieutenants will provide additional loot and extend the rescue window.
In addition to the raid, Blizzard is implementing several systemic changes:

- Raid & Dungeon Adjustments: Loot from Doomlord Kazzak and Doomwalker will now be Bind on Equip instead of Bind on Pickup. Furthermore, attunement is no longer required for The Battle for Mount Hyjal and The Black Temple.
- Currency & Reputation: The reputation requirement for Heroic dungeon keys has been lowered to Honored. Additionally, Badges of Justice can now be obtained from bosses in Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, Magtheridon's Lair, Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, and Zul'Aman.
- Item Updates: Primal Nether and Nether Vortex will no longer be soulbound. Outland faction vendors will also receive new Leatherworking recipes.
Finally, updates to epic gems mean that Magtheridon’s Black Sack of Gems and Jewelcrafter’s Brilliant Glass can now contain epic gems, though this change will not apply to existing unopened sacks or previously looted Brilliant Glasses.
