Asus ProArt Laptops and Mini-PC with NVIDIA RTX Spark
At IFA 2026, ASUS unveiled its new ProArt P16 and P14 laptops alongside the ProArt GR1X Mini-PC, all built around the NVIDIA RTX Spark platform. The devices feature slim designs, high-capacity batteries, and support for up to 128 GB of RAM, with a market launch scheduled for the autumn.
NVIDIA has adopted a gradual approach to revealing RTX Spark details, releasing information in small increments over several weeks. While the full rollout is expected in October, the company and its partners have not yet disclosed pricing or complete specifications, citing the platform's high cost. ASUS did, however, allow a look at the hardware at the event.
ProArt Laptops: Specifications and Configurations
At ASUS, RTX Spark is currently exclusive to the ProArt line, the company's high-end business segment. The ProArt P14 (H7407) and P16 (H7607) laptops are nearly identical in configuration, differing primarily in their card readers. Both models feature high-resolution OLED displays in a 16:10 aspect ratio with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, three USB 4.0 Gen 3 Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, a headphone jack, and HDMI 2.1 FRL. The 16-inch model is equipped with a 99.9 Wh battery, while the 14-inch version has a 90 Wh battery. Both charge via USB-C using a 140 W power adapter. Although the maximum configuration advertises 128 GB of RAM, ASUS confirmed that the P16 will also be available with 24 GB of LPDDR5X and a smaller SSD, suggesting a starting price below €3,000. TDP figures remain undisclosed due to NVIDIA's restrictions, though they are expected to appear on product pages later.
ProArt GR1X Mini-PC: A Consumer Alternative to DGX Spark
The ProArt GR1X Mini-PC serves as the consumer counterpart to the DGX Spark, a platform ASUS also offers through the Ascent GX10. Based on lessons learned from the DGX Spark, which has a SoC TDP of 140 W, the GR1X features a redesigned cooling system that draws fresh air from the front and bottom, expelling it out the back. ASUS claims the device will remain whisper-quiet, a trait it also maintained in its predecessor.
Technically, the RTX Spark in the Mini-PC is 95% identical to the DGX Spark, differing only in the absence of the ConnectX interface and the use of Windows on Arm instead of Linux. The motherboard design closely mirrors that of the DGX Spark, with the TDP likely remaining at 140 W given the identical power supply. The GR1X offers three USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C ports, one additional Type-C port with 180 W EPR PD 3.1 input, HDMI 2.1, and 10Gbit LAN. Specific details regarding RAM, CPU configuration, and storage options will be revealed closer to the market launch.
