AMD Adrenalin 26.6.4: What Changed for Radeon and FSR 4.1

AMD's fresh driver matters less for hype and more for FSR and installer stability.

What Released

AMD published Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.4. The page is dated June 29 in AMD's timing, but for the June 30 editorial day it is the fresh driver story players are now installing and testing.

One important fix addresses an intermittent install issue seen when installing AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 on Windows 10 systems for Radeon RX 7000 series and newer graphics products.

Why FSR 4.1 Matters Here

AMD also lists a fix for intermittent application crashes in some games with AMD FSR Upscaling 4.1 enabled on Radeon RX 7000 series products. That line matters because upscaling is now a regular performance setting, not an experiment.

If an upscaler promises more frames but can crash the game, trust disappears quickly. FSR stability fixes can matter as much as support for new games.

What Is Still Known

AMD lists several known issues, including possible crashes or driver timeouts in Battlefield 6 on AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, texture flickering or corruption with AMD Record and Stream, and cases where FSR Upscaling or Frame Generation may appear inactive in AMD Software on Radeon RX 9000 series products.

There are also AI Bundle installation warnings in some regions, plus Cinema 4D and Blender issues on Radeon RX 7000 series and newer where AMD recommends affected users install Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1.

Should You Update

If you use a Radeon RX 7000 series card and rely on FSR 4.1 in games, 26.6.4 looks useful. If Battlefield 6 or Blender/Cinema 4D is your main scenario, read the known issues first and keep your stable installer available.

The best approach is simple: update if the fix matches your problem; wait if your current version is stable and your core use case appears in known issues.
