Ace Combat Zero on Steam now supports standalone launching
The Steam version of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War, previously tied to the Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve pre-order bonus, can now be launched as a standalone application. This change allows players to play the classic title without needing to install the main game.
Until now, launching Ace Combat Zero required Ace Combat 8 to be installed on the system. With this update, players who have already claimed the pre-order bonus can install and run the game independently. It is important to note that this is a change in how the bonus is delivered; users who did not pre-order the eighth installment cannot obtain the game through this method.
Save data management has also been improved. Progress is automatically transferred on the same PC, and players can sync their data across different devices using Steam Cloud.
Originally released in 2006 for PlayStation 2, Ace Combat Zero is a flight shooting game set during the Belkan War. This modern port features significant technical upgrades, supporting 2160p resolution and 60 FPS.
