A Line Held Tight is a charcoal visual novel about a miner's strike in the 32nd century
Humble Grove, the studio behind No Longer Home, has introduced details for their upcoming project, the visual novel A Line Held Tight. Set in the 32nd century, the story revolves around a miners' strike in a colony that has been cut off from the rest of humanity.
Players take on the role of The Canary, a member of the mining community. The core of the experience lies in making choices that shape the protagonist's relationships with friends, family, and fellow workers. Rather than focusing solely on branching storylines or multiple endings, the game emphasizes the social connections essential to labor organizing, making these relationships a central mechanical element.
The game features a distinct visual style characterized by hand-drawn charcoal art, paired with a traditional folk soundtrack. The narrative unfolds within deep mine tunnels, where characters must navigate internal tensions and external influences as the strike intensifies.

While a specific release date for A Line Held Tight has not yet been announced, a playable demo is currently available as part of Steam Next Fest.
