2026 LoL Worlds 'Know My Name' MV Captures 'Faker' History

Riot Games has released the music video and track for "Know My Name," the theme song for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. Performed by the virtual hip-hop group True Damage in their first return in roughly seven years, the video captures the journey of Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and T1 leading up to their third consecutive World Championship title.

The track, marking the 13th World Championship anthem, will be released on the official League of Legends YouTube channel and music streaming platforms on October 9 (KST). This release marks the first time a virtual artist created by Riot Games has taken on the theme song. Maria Egan, Global Head of Music and Events at Riot Games, stated that with the tournament being held in New York, True Damage was the most fitting artist for the occasion.

The music video follows the path Faker took as T1 achieved a three-peat World Championship run from 2023 to 2025. It features key play highlights of Ahri, Ryze, and Orianna, who led Faker to his titles in 2013, 2015, and 2016. The narrative then transitions through a period without the trophy, showing Faker's solitary path as symbols of various Worlds champions, such as Samsung Galaxy, appear behind him.

The video then highlights the dominance of the "ZOFGK" roster (Zeus, Oner, Gumayusi, Keria, and Faker). It showcases key moments from their 2023–2025 three-peat, including the victory over KT Rolster in last year's finals. The video features Faker's performances on Akali and Galio, as well as his decisive play on Anivia against KT Rolster to secure his sixth World Championship title.

For fans, the return of True Damage is a significant event. The group, which debuted at the 2019 World Championship Finals, features the voices of SOYEON of (G)I-DLE as Akali, R&B singer Coco Jones as Senna, rapper Vic Mensa as Ekko, and Sofía Reyes as Qiyana, with Yasuo serving as the DJ and producer.

The Worlds 2026 tournament begins with the Play-In stage in Los Angeles on October 16 (KST). The Swiss Stage and Knockout Stage will take place in Allen, Texas, concluding with the Finals on November 15 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, where True Damage will perform during the opening ceremony. From the LCK, four teams—Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports, T1, and Dplus KIA—will enter the competition starting from the Swiss Stage on October 24.
