11 games and announcements from Galaxies Showcase

Even with the industry's eyes fixed on GTA 6, the latest Galaxies Showcase proved there is plenty to get excited about. The nearly two-hour event brought a diverse lineup of titles, ranging from gritty psychological horror to cozy adventures. We've highlighted the most significant announcements and details that stood out from the showcase.

Musical Mysteries and Cozy Renovations

One of the most unique entries is There are no Ghosts at the Grand from Bristol-based Friday Sundae. It's a blend of musical adventure, home renovation sim, and ghost-hunting mystery set in a dilapidated British seaside hotel. Players have 30 days to renovate the building while uncovering its secrets and dealing with singing ghosts. A Steam demo is available now ahead of its December release.

For fans of rhythm and management, Mr. Records from Glee Cheese announced that it will feature a level editor for PC in Q2 next year. The game follows a man named George traveling through musical worlds. A Steam demo is also available.

Post-Apocalyptic Drives and Space Jobs

3DClouds revealed AfterZero: The Last Drive, a survival game that feels like a snowy, winter-themed Pacific Drive. Players will scavenge, repair, and upgrade their car in a post-industrial wasteland. The game is slated for 2027 on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

In the realm of job simulators, Contact Protocol offers a grim look at life as a security officer on a starship heading toward Jupiter's moons. It features a retro-tech aesthetic and focuses on the harsh realities of corporate life among the stars. A demo is currently on Steam, with the full release coming next year.

Psychological Horror and Dark Narratives

LKA, the studio behind Town of Light, introduced When Sirens Fall Silent. This psychological horror deals with heavy themes like misogyny and trauma, presented through a 90s-style true crime documentary aesthetic, complete with news reports and interviews. It is expected to launch next year.

Deperson from Error Thing offers a surreal psychological horror experience in a nation consumed by surveillance. Featuring a striking hand-drawn animation style, the game combines point-and-click elements with intense moments of survival. A demo is available on Steam, with a release set for next year.
